In the role of digital designer, you will develop and maintain advanced digital circuit boards for one of Saab Surveillance's product areas - this can involve everything from HFF-close electronics to computer platforms, data links, and everything in between.

Some key tasks include:

• Conducting concept investigations and studies of future solutions, construction methods, and architectures
• Participating in requirements breakdown and specification of designs and systems
• Realizing detailed design through simulation/component selection/schematic design
• Preparation and review of production documentation
• Testing and verification of performance in the lab
• Troubleshooting and support during product integration
• Meeting schedules, ensuring high quality, and contributing to cost-effective solutions

Your Profile

In close collaboration with colleagues within and outside your team, you will develop designs that you follow all the way from concept to finished product. You preferably have experience in detailed design focusing on digital electronics (SoC/FPGA, DDR memories) or mixed signal (ADC/DAC). Above all, we see that you have a drive, curiosity, and a desire to develop. We welcome you to contribute new perspectives, energy, and a willingness to influence. In our operations, we also need to develop technical leaders, so we appreciate an interest in that.

We believe that you as a person have a burning interest in growing within the field of digital hardware design and experience in:

• Development tools for circuit board design (e.g., Cadence or Siemens)
• Simulation tools for developing digital electronics (e.g., Hyperlynx)
• Modern measuring instruments for testing and integration
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably with a focus on Electrical Engineering or Embedded Systems
• Good understanding of the importance of processes and quality
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you:

• Have previously developed with circuits and tools from AMD (formerly Xilinx)
• Can program equipment control and data processing in e.g., Matlab
• Have knowledge and experience with optical transceivers and links
• Have experience in other electronics areas, e.g., RF, analog, or power electronics

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.
